Premier League Build Up

The Premier League kicks off on August 13th and the build up and anticipation is starting to build. Transfers have happened, Man City are spending galore and Arsenal and Liverpool have made some shrude signings. Chelsea and United haven't been very busy with each making one major signing each.

New Signings:
Arsenal have released a few defenders but bought one back, Laurent Koscielny, with Gallas, Silvestre, Senderos and Campbell, why would Wenger get rid of four but three very experienced defenders. According to reports, Gallas was causing trouble in the changing room so that's why he went. Wenger probably felt Silvest and Sol had run out of legs and let them go for the youngsters to come through. As for Senderos, he was as good at Arsenal as my dad is at singing!!!!!

Elsewhere, Man City have signed World Cup impress Jerome Boateng, Yaya Toure, he'll partner his brother Kolo at City and Spanish winger David Silva. Although, City have to sell to keep to the new rule of having only 31 players so the likes of Santa Cruz, Bellamy, Ireland, Johnson and Wright-Phillipps may be on their way. Liverpool snatched Joe Cole from Arsenal and Tootenham and swooped Milan Jovanovic of Serbia. Man United got Javier Hernandez, the Mexican youngster and Fulham youth Chris Smalling. Chelsea suprisingly got Yossi Benayoun from Liverpool.

My Prediction

I think it's out of five for the Premier League title, Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City and Spurs. Liverpool I don't think because of their weakness without Torres and Gerrard or even one of them out they collapse and rely too much on them. Villa and Everton will challenge for Europa League places as will Fulham and Birmigham. Sunderland may do well as will Newcastle and possibly Bolton may do better. Blackpool will struggle but I wish for them to do well. But my three for the drop are:

18.West Ham
19.Blackpool
20.West Brom

My top four:

1.Arsenal
2.Man City
3.Chelsea
4.Man United/Spurs

Top Goalscorer:

1.Didier Drogba
2.Wayne Rooney
3.Robin Van Persie/Carlos Tevez
4.Fernando Torres/Marouane Chamakh

Looking forward to the season cant wait, you may have notuced I support Arsenal if not why else would I put them top, to be un biost I honestly think they'll be second or third.

Signing off

Sam
